Avi Geller, Chief Investment Officer
Avi has extensive experience in the small and microcap markets and has worked on a variety of debt, equity and hybrid deals across all industries. He oversees the firm’s overall capital allocation strategy and directly manages the deal flow process, due diligence and structuring of each individual investment.
Avi also holds several directorships at Leonite’s portfolio companies.
Siegfried Eggert, Financial Analyst
Siegfried is a well-regarded financial analyst and is a long-time member of the Microcap Club. He is charged with generating and analyzing long/short special situation investment ideas, including spin-offs, tender offers, M&A, and bankruptcy proceedings.
Siegfried was born and raised in Germany, and studied International Business in the Netherlands, Hanze University of Groningen, where he received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors, majoring in Finance and Accounting. Siegfried also spent seven months studying in Beijing at Beijing Technology and Business University, after which he received a minor in Asian Business. Siegfried accepted a merit scholarship from Simon Business School, University of Rochester, for the Masters of Science in Finance program. At Simon, Siegfried functioned as a Senior Analyst for the Simon School Venture Capital Fund, leading a team of five analysts in finding and analyzing venture capital investment ideas. Siegfried also has experience in investment banking, having previously worked on the Equity Trading Floor at Erste Bank Group in Vienna, Austria, where he analyzed IPO documents, managed the hedging and lending business, and was in charge of yield enhancement strategies.
Dannie Klompsma, Managing Director: private portfolio
Dannie is responsible for the management of Leonite’s private portfolio. Originally from the Netherlands, he began his career as a senior executive in the staffing industry managing a rapidly growing company’s operations. He then transferred to the premier Dutch consultancy Berenschot, where he oversaw a team of consultants specializing in the field of organizational restructuring and management changes.
Dannie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Sales Management and a Master’s in Organizational Development.
Gilah Lazarus, Director of Finance
Gilah Lazarus joined Leonite in 2017 as Director of Finance. Prior to joining the company, she served as controller for several businesses and nonprofit organizations. Gilah holds a Master’s in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Jake Morgenstern, Director of Operations
Jake oversees Leonite’s day-to-day financial and administrative operations. Prior to his current role, Jake served as VP of sales for a wholesale distribution company where he was responsible for managing and executing their overall sales strategy.
Yechiel Kopelowitz, Managing Director
Yechiel is an experienced real estate and angel investor. He has sourced, structured and executed on numerous real estate transactions with a focus on New York City. His angel investments span the US and Canada, and he generally takes an active role in helping the entrepreneurs that he's invested in realize the full potential of their vision. In addition to his role at Leonite, Yechiel currently serves as a director of Biba Ventures, an Augmented Reality gaming company and managing member of Hillcrest Acquisitions, a New York based real estate company.
